Forward your job alerts (LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, Wellfound…)
Send the job alerts those sites already email you to your personal address, and every job in them gets scored.
Your personal forwarding address is on the Job alerts page (top menu). It looks like k7f3a9c2bd@in.…. Only job-alert
emails from job sites (and emails you forward yourself) are read. Anything else sent to it is ignored.
First, set up alerts on the sites (if you haven't): LinkedIn → Jobs → search → "Set alert"; Naukri → "Create job alert"; Indeed → "Get new jobs for this search by email"; Wellfound, Instahyre, Cutshort and the rest → turn on their job alert or job recommendation emails in their settings.
Gmail: forward them automatically
- Gmail → Settings (gear) → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → Add a forwarding address → paste your address → Next → Proceed.
- Gmail sends us a confirmation email. Within a minute, the confirmation code appears on the Job alerts page. Paste it back in Gmail and press Verify. (You don't need to forward everything: leave "Disable forwarding" selected if Gmail asks.)
- Gmail → search bar → filter icon → From:
[email protected] OR naukri.com OR indeed.com OR wellfound.com OR instahyre.com OR cutshort.io→ Create filter → tick Forward it to → choose your address → Create filter. (The Job alerts page has the full line to copy.)
Outlook: Settings → Mail → Rules → Add new rule → From contains linkedin.com (and the others) → Forward to → your
address.
Or just forward one by hand: forward any alert email to your address; it's read the same way.
Jobs from your alerts are private to you. The Job alerts page shows the last emails received and how many jobs each had.
