What the match score means

85+ is a strong fit, 70–84 good, 55–69 a stretch. Here's how it's worked out and why some jobs are capped.

Every new job gets a free keyword check against your profile: how close the title is to the roles you want, how many of your skills it mentions, where it is and how senior it is. Most jobs stop there.

The promising ones get a full match score from a careful AI reviewer that reads the whole ad and your profile:

  • 85–100 Strong: the role, seniority, core skills and location all fit.
  • 70–84 Good: worth applying, with a gap or two to address.
  • 55–69 Stretch: possible, but you're missing something they ask for.
  • Below 55: hidden from your matches (you can still see them under "Below your bar").

Some rules are applied on top, because they matter more than anything else:

  • A job you can't take from where you are (on-site in another country, or remote but only for people elsewhere) is capped at 40.
  • A hard requirement you clearly don't meet (a licence, a degree, far more years) caps it at 40.

Every score comes with its reasons and gaps, citing the ad and your experience. If a score looks wrong, open the job: the gaps usually say why. You can change the lowest score you want to see in Settings.

Free week and Pro: in your free week, every job gets the keyword check, shown as a fit percentage with its reasons (skills it mentions, location, the experience it asks for, what you're missing). Pro adds the AI score with reasons and gaps for up to 40 jobs a day.
